Why use fee only ( fee for service ) financial and retirement planning ?
The ONLY way to know you got the RIGHT advice is to be sure the person giving it is NOT relying on selling you something to pay for their time. How is your advisor paid? Usually by a commission for selling you a fund and then an ongoing trailer commission. Some get a percentage of what you have each year . Fee only or fee for service is paying for the help you need and receive.
